Let's Talk About Bajan Rum...

When: 18th August 2015
at 7pm (UK time)
Hashtag: DoorlysTT
Hot on the heels of our recent Pusser’s Twitter Tasting, we are super excited to be bringing you the news that one of the world’s best-known rum makers, Richard Seale of Foursquare Distillery in Barbados, will be joining us for an exclusive Twitter Tasting of some of his very best rums. Richard is well known for his honest and passionate views on rum and we hope and expect his conversation on the night will be no less forthright.
Foursquare Rum - Port Cask FinishThe tasting will start with the much loved Doorly’s XO, move to the relatively new Doorly’s 12 Year Old and then conclude with the brand new, Port Cask Finish rum. We expect demand to be high for one of the limited number of tasting sample sets – so please do register your desire to be a part of things as soon as you can, but please be aware this is a draw, and that ‘first come’ is not ‘first served’.
If you have access to the full range of rum’s on offer, please don’t apply for a set – give somebody else a chance – but please do join the conversation. If you’ve lived with the rums for a while, you’ll have a perspective that we’d all love to hear about.
How to register interest:
Whilst we’ll be tweeting away from Rum Central, there will be four regional events set up so that those who don’t get a tasting sample set, can still look to get involved. At each of these locations, a representative of Marussia Beverages (the importers/distributors for Foursquare Rum) will be hosting a tasting for 15-20 people.  See which will be closest to you and then contact the representative directly – don’t forget the #DoorlysTT hashtag – and reserve your seat for the evening. Make sure you arrive before 7pm to be in and settled! And please do get involved with the tasting and asking questions.
The tasting will start at 7pm UK time, planning to run for around an hour and a half to two hours, with the opportunity to ask Richard questions afterwards. We’ve also got plans for something rather special afterwards, but mum’s the word for now - fingers crossed - details to be revealed soon.
Excited? We certainly are!

Why Twitter? The live timeline approach and relatively low tech requirement to get involved makes the Social Media channel of Twitter ideal. Search for the hashtag and be instantly updated with the conversation as it plays out.
