Plantation Black Cask Rum

The Power of Three?

The team at Plantation Rum are upping the game with a three country (Barbados, Belize and Trinidad) rum blend that’s been through three maturation steps. For now it’s only available in Denmark and Germany, but things change – especially if it proves to be popular.
Barbados, Belize and Trinidadian rums, locally aged in the Caribbean for 2 to 3 years. Then we assume blended and given a further 1 to 2 years maturation in small French oak cask, before being given a 5-month blast in heavily charred new American Oak barrels, hence the Black Cask name. Hopefully the opportunity to try it will present itself in October at the Berlin Rum Festival.
