The Aurum Cocktail

 

 

40ml Bacardi Superior

20ml Kamm & Sons

10ml Edmund Briottet Crème d’Abricot

 

Method: Stirred and strained into a cocktail glass. Garnished with grapefruit zest and a star anise.

 

 

 

Ali tells us the inspiration for the cocktail was:

 

Simplicity above all for the fact most classic cocktails that become legacies are 3 ingredient straight forward drinks.  A sense of Family inspired the choices of ingredients: Kamm and Sons being all family owned and run.  Bacardi started small and now the world’s largest privately family owned spirits company in the world.

 

The cocktail is called The Aurum Cocktail – Latin for gold and fits well as the drink has a lovely dark golden hue.
