It's Good For The Wood (Apparently)
TheFloatingRumShack.com really enjoyed a few days hanging out with their friends at RumConnection.com HQ in Key West a few weeks ago. It was a whole lot of fun and apart from happy memories; Pauline and I took something else away with us that we weren’t really expecting at all...

A True Taste Of History...
Take a moment to enjoy the sight of the fine looking bottle, presented in its lovely wooden case. The ½ Gill measure is fashioned from copper and peeking carefully, you’ll see a book tucked into the bottom of the box, which contains a history of Naval rum.
The certificate on the inside of the lid tells you the story of Black Tot day and confirms that the contents of the bottle, marks the owner as being a rather lucky person... They truly have a piece of real rum history contained therein.
Tell me honestly - wouldn't you love to have a bottle for yourself?

Well, unfortunately as the rum in question is in Auckland, New Zealand and we are in the UK near London, a mere 11,390 miles away – so it might be a while before we get to find out for ourselves. Of course we have been known to go a long way for a free drink...

In a first for TheFloatingRumShack.com, we are launching a cocktail competition to run through June 2010! The best part? It’s being run with our ‘bestest’ rum drinking buddies in the whole wide world... A three way link up with RumConnection.com and RumDood.com. Does it get any better than that? I think not!
