With August being a Wray & Nephew White Overproof Rum of the Month, kinda month – we thought we’d quite like to bring you some great cocktail recipes featuring Wray & Nephew that will make you feel like it’s Summer (even if the weather isn’t playing ball!).
So each Friday through the month of August, we’ll feature a different rum punch recipe featuring the famous Jamaican Overproof rum.
First up: Reggae Rum Punch

25ml Wray & Nephew
50ml Orange Juice
50ml Pineapple Juice
25ml Strawberry or Grenadine Syrup
A squeeze of lime or lemon
Method: Mix ingredients over ice in cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously. Pour over ice. Pour Strawberry or Grenadine syrup on top.
Garnish: Lemon Wedge and Mint
TheFloatingRumShack.com advises that you spend a little extra and get freshly squeezed orange and pineapple juice, instead of concentrate as it tastes better. You can make your own grenadine by making a 1:1 ratio (i.e.; equal measures) of sugar and pomegranate juice syrup. Gently heat the juice without bringing to the boiling and mix in the sugar in until it dissolves completely. Remove from the heat and allow to cool.
Nothing could be easier eh? Drink in hand, put your feet up and relax!

P.S. – we may (or may not) have upped the amount of Wray in our punch to about 40ml to appreciate the flavour of the rum coming through just a little bit more!
