Toasting the Royal arrival this Summer

A Cocktail Fit For a Prince (or Princess)

To celebrate the Royal arrival Love Drinks have created two cocktails. One is rich, robust and fit for a prince; it contains El Dorado 12 year old rum, sweet vermouth and Champagne. The other is lighter, more floral and low in ABV – made with The Bitter Truth Violet, lime and light tonic water - ideal for a princess. So whether our new heir is a boy or a girl the nation can raise a glass to toast this occasion.

El Dorado 12 Year Old Rum

Amber in colour with sweet favours like honey, banana, toffee, raisin and sultanas, El Dorado 12 year old rum works beautifully with the elegance and dryness of the Champagne.

The Golden Heir

20ml Sweet Vermouth
20ml Brut Champagne
2 dashes of The Bitter Truth Aromatic Bitters.

Stir and serve in a Martini glass, topping up with Champagne, garnish with a Maraschino Cherry

More subtle, light, refreshing and elegant is this is a well-toned drink. The Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur adds sweet, perfumed notes balanced by the sharpness of lime and the crispness of effervescent tonic water.

The Sapphire Heir

5ml fresh lime juice
Topped with light tonic water
Garnish with a lime wedge

Add ice to a tall glass, add the liqueur and juice, stir, top up with light tonic and stir again.
