All Dressed Up for The Summer

Havana Club is giving their Añejo Especial a little freshening up ahead of summer; a little more of a family vibe in terms of colour scheme.

Press Release: Havana Club, the only 100% authentic Cuban rum available globally, has unveiled a new label for its golden Havana Club Añejo Especial ahead of summer 2018, which reflects the vibrancy of Cuba and the quality and authentic production process of the rum.

The new look is presented on premium, crafted paper and reflects Cuban street culture with striking blue and red edges, while the inclusion of tree rings, two oak barrels and a sand timer denote the authentic ‘doblemente añejado’ – or double-aged – maturation method that gives Havana Club Especial its perfectly smooth and balanced flavour.

The bottle’s shape, the signature of Havana Club’s Maestro del Ron Cubano and the ‘El Ron de Cuba’ tagline remain in place and are consistent with Havana Club 3 Años and Havana Club Añejo 7 Años, showcasing the comprehensive family of rums available from Havana Club. The new Havana Club Especial label is available in several Especial markets, including UK, France, Germany, Switzerland and Belgium.

To celebrate the launch, Havana Club has created a modern take on a classic drink for summer 2018 – the Especial Cuba Libre. Crafted with Havana Club Especial, cola, ice and a wedge of fresh lime, the Especial Cuba Libre offers a more sophisticated taste, with the golden rum and its signature notes of vanilla complementing the flavours of the cola perfectly.

Festival-goers will be able to enjoy the serve at ‘Especial Sessions’ at Tomorrowland (Belgium) and Musik I lejet (Denmark), bringing to life the Cuban spirit through branded bars and prize giveaways.

Havana Club Añejo Especial is a blend of young and old Cuban rum bases, which have been aged again in white oak barrels to enhance the rum with soft notes of vanilla and craft a perfectly smooth and balanced flavour.
